I couldn't quite believe my eyes or ears when I heard (& saw) this story. Are you kidding me?
Coincidentally, I heard a story this morning about a guy who committed a rape in 198(7)? when he was in college. The girl was 17. She never went to the police on the advise of the university. As part of his 12-step program he confessed and apologized to her in a letter. She brought the letter to the attention of the authorities (and the media). He pled guilty to a lesser charge, has yet to be sentenced.
