Had I not lived in Jacksonville I may have never known about St Augustine or its rich history. But since I lived 35 miles north of there, I was able to explore the city and its past on many occasions. For three years I had the pleasure of taking in the sights and sounds of the city including St George Street, the Alligator Farm, Flagler College, the Fountain of Youth, the Lighthouse and the Castillo de San Marcos. I even spent my wedding night at a hotel on St Augustine's beach. So with a warm heart and fond memories I'd like wish St Augustine a happy 442nd birthday.
